The blankie your baby will treasure for a lifetime.

About Us

The Gabrielle's Fleece Story
I am a grandmother who loves her grandchildren and also loves to knit. The first blanket I made was for my first granddaughter, Gabrielle.

I received many compliments on this blanket and began to get requests for them in a variety of colors. I also pray while I’m knitting, and it was during this time of praying and knitting that I was given the seven inspirational scriptures, which became the seven prayers that are on the picture frame insert.

It is also my hope that the blanket and prayers would be a reminder of God’s covering of love and that they might be passed along as a keepsake.

"My brother brought me a green Gabrielle's Fleece blanket the day my second child was to be born.  As I read the message that went along with the blanket my eyes filled with tears.  I had been in a serious car accident 10 years prior.  The doctors did not know if I would ever to be able to have any children.  It had taken my husband and I two years to become pregnant.  We have faith in God and thought we were only supposed to have one child.  My son alone was such a blessing how could we feel as if God hadn't already given us enough.  Here we were almost three years later and we were about to be blessed with baby number two. As every mother can relate, I began to pray that our baby would be healthy.  After reading the message that went along with the blanket I suddenly felt at ease.  I had prayed for this new little life that would be arriving in hours and so had some complete stranger.  What more could you ask for?  Well I had a beautiful baby girl, in which my son named Ali Mary.

Ali is now 17 months old and full of life.  Out of all of the blankets Ali was given when she was born, she became immediately attached to her Gabrielle blanket.  As I said in the beginning her blanket is green.  She calls it her greenie.  Every place Ali goes, "Greenie" goes.  Nothing can take it's place (believe me we've tried, when doing the laundry and such).  After thinking I had lost the blanket a couple of times, I decided to see just where this blanket came from.  I needed a second.  One night I just decided to type in Gabrielle's Fleece blankets.  The internet has everything.  Maybe it would help me find another blanket.  I am so thankful I found the creator of the "Gabrielle's Fleece' blankets.  I have always felt the blanket is very special.  If you ever get a chance to speak with the wonderful lady who created this blanket, you will also see how very special the blanket and creator are."
